Onboarding as a Swing Employee
If you are currently a 1099 independent contractor with Swing, once it is your turn to convert to a Swing Employee, we will reach out to you directly via email and your account will prompt you to begin the process.
To access your onboarding information, open your account settings. Once there you will be able to select 'CA - W-2 Conversion'. If you do not have this option, it is not quite your turn to convert.
You will not be allowed to stay as a 1099 Independent Contractor with Swing after:
California: Dec. 31st, 2020
All other states: TBD

What is my Virtual New Hire Orientation?
Your Virtual New Hire Orientation will give you insight into your W-2 employee status at Swing. It will be conducted via Zoom and will be a paid session about an hour and fifteen minutes long.

Once I've requested my Virtual New Hire Orientation date, can I attend?
After you've requested your Virtual New Hire Orientation date, you must complete your I-9 in full before that date in order to lock in your invitation to attend. If you do not complete your I-9 before your selected orientation date, you will have to reschedule.

Where is my Virtual New Hire Orientation invitation?
After completing your I-9, you will be sent a Zoom invitation to the email you use for Swing. Please check your email for this invitation, and if you do not see one, reach out to support.
Do I have to attend Virtual New Hire Orientation?
Attending the Virtual New Hire Orientation is not optional; you must be on time and stay the entire duration.
Will I be paid for onboarding?
You will be compensated for your Virtual New Hire Orientation time. It will be about one hour and 15 minutes.
What is ADP?
During your Virtual New Hire Orientation, you will create an ADP account for Swing. ADP is where you will complete your remaining New Hire onboarding steps: completing your W-2 onboarding process. ADP is also where you will punch your hours in your weekly timesheet, view pay statements, and sick time accrual rates.
How long to I have to complete ADP?
You will need to complete your ADP onboarding steps within 3 days following your orientation.
