First impressions matter. Schools use dress codes as a way to show students what professionalism looks like, and expect their educators to demonstrate that as well.
Many schools provide their specific dress code in the "Notes", which can be found on the request page of each assignment. If thy are not located in the notes and you need further clarification, you can reach out to the contact listed in the request.
Swing Subs are expected to dress in business casual attire. Based on an analysis of dress codes at Swing’s partner schools, the following is generally considered acceptable:
- Comfortable dress shoes/flats (avoid sneakers, sandals, or open-toed shoes).
- Solid colored slacks (no jeans, avoid capris).
- Neatly ironed buttoned-up collared shirt.
- Blouse and/or knitted sweater/cardigan.
If your request is for a physical education class you may wear athletic attire.
Schools also recommend avoiding any offensive or strong odors, such as cigarettes or perfumes/colognes, and to practice general hygiene before an assignment.
