Sometimes substitutes will accept a request after the start time has passed. If this happens, Swing will automatically assign the substitute to a waitlist in case coverage is no longer needed at your school site.
If you receive an email notification that says “action required” and you still need a substitute for that request, you will need to “choose” the sub from the waitlist on the request page (see below). The substitute will receive a confirmation text and we recommend that you call him/her to confirm an arrival time.
If you no longer need coverage, it’s best to cancel the request so that the substitute will see that this opportunity is no longer available.
